100 word challenge

We walked down to the river and just sat there, he went for a swim. Suddenly the wind picked up, he couldn't swim back, he started drifting away, I jumped in but I couldn't reach him.

I tried to get closer for a while, I grabbed his paw, that's when I noticed that I no longer knew where we were.

I tried to swim to the side for what felt like an eternity. We finally got to the side, I pushed him up with the little strength I had. He grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me up.
